Terry O'Quinn

Today's face is Terry O'Quinn's, which you may be familiar with from the TV series Lost.
He's got large ears and a nose with a bulbous, downward pointing tip. His face is covered in cracks, crow's feet and deep lines.

Here's a man who seems happy and content. This man truly knows how to smile like he means it.
Here's a younger Terry with a full head of hair. Almost unrecognizable from his appearance today.

Here's a great moment from the first season of Lost starring Terry O'Quinn:

Kate Micucci

Here's singer-songwriter/actress Kate Micucci:
Super cute gal.

Look at that hair! It's like taking a several decade backwards step through time.

And those eyes! So big you could easily drown in them.

Big smile too, and a prominent nose. Rarely a very feminine quality, but I think it works in Kate's favor.

Here's a wonderful song by Miss. Micucci, Walking in Los Angeles:

If you're thinking of drawing her I recommend you use something like www.keephd.com and save the HD version of that video to your computer. There's lots of different closeups from multiple angles, and she shows a variety of fun expressions.

William H. Macy

First up is William H. Macy.

Look at that nose! So short, it and the eyes are almost like one object! It also has a very distinct, obvious triangular shape to it, more so than on most people. Something to think about if you're drawing him. Also make note of the larger-than-usual gap between his nose and lips and the way his cheeks jut out.

What a difference a beard makes! Almost doesn't look like the same person.

Here's an awesome song/promo for a movie he starred in.

What's this?

This is a place for me to post pictures of funny/interesting/strange faces. Why? Faces are fascinating, fun and there's such a vast amount of them yet each one is unique. Amazing things, faces.
The real purpose of this blog though? To create a vast repository of caricature (or other kind of drawing) reference for the world to benefit from.

Now, back to faces.
Some are kind of bland and uninteresting:

Most faces aren't bland due to the simple fact that they're unique, but Keanu has a face that just looks completely average. Apart from his eyes very little seems to stand out.

while others are curious and/or exciting:
Superficially similar to Keanu (though perhaps it's just the rugged facial hair) , but Norton's got this weird ball-chin thing going on as well as funky bushy eyebrows.

I'm only interested in the latter type and will try to post pictures regularly. I may also throw in my attempts at caricaturing some of the faces.

So if that's something you think you might be interested in then I hope you'll stick around.
